Subject: Partial Halo CME on 2002/04/30, backsided

LASCO and observed a wide, bright, fast partial CME on
2002/04/23. A bright leading edge was first observed in
C2 and 23:26 UT and C3 at 23:42 UT; by 01:42 the CME had
reached its maximal extent, spanning ~185 deg from
PA 155 to PA 340.

EIT running difference images clearly show a large
backsided CME between 22:36 - 23:36 UT. This event has
therefore been determined backsided.
