The event was first seen in C2 at 03:30 UT, as a ragged front over the W limb. It later extended over about 185 degrees, from PA 165 (SE limb) to PA 350 (N pole), although it was not as clearly defined as some of the other hal events of the past few days. The measured speed in the plane of the sky was 635 km/s at PA 285 (NW limb). EIT observed a M2.2 flare and associated dimming from AR 9236, located at about N21 W23.
