From: Sara Martin To: MMmotd@mithra.physics.montana.edu Subject: MEOC Campaign Target Date: 26 November 2000 02:50 To MEOC participants, AR 9236 continues to be a choice MEOC target with at least one X-class, one M-class and many tiny flares today. The most energetic flares have developed at the periphery of the leader sunspot. For limited field instruments, the coordinates of the largest sunspot in AR9236 for 26 Nov. 2000 at 00:00 UT are: N21 W27 X= +412" Y= 328" With hopes that all participants observe several of the homologous series of energetic events with CMEs being produced by AR9236. The active filament reported yesterday in 9240 erupted in assocation with a CME and flare around 02:00 UT, more than 2 hours after sunset at Helio Research. It was an M8 gradual rise, long- enduring event. A new filament has formed at the site of the one that erupted. Sara F.
