From: Sara Martin To: MMmotd@mithra.physics.montana.edu Subject: MEOC Campaign Target Date: 18 November 2000 03:04 To MEOC participants, AR9231 is now a double winner after producing another flare with candidate EIT wave and CME off the SW limb on 17 Nov around 1030 UT as seen in the EIT 195A movie. We will continue on this target hoping that this is the beginning of a series of homologous flares with possible wave effects to the west of the region. We will give coordinates only for the center of the region. Those with adequate field might want to offset their pointing to favor the west side but remember that the CMEs have been brightest to the SE and that the major event(s) on 16 Nov began in the center of the region and also produced effect in the corona to the north of the active region. We make no predictions. The coordinates for limited field instruments for 18 Nov at 00:00 UT are: S23 E17 X= -254" Y= -416 Best of luck with observing, Sara Martin, Bill Marquette and Peter Gallagher >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Sara F.
