LASCO and EIT observed a FULL HALO limb event CME yesterday, 2000/11/08.

This event was first seen in C2 as a large bright loop front over the
North West limb starting at 23:06 UT and later developing to a full halo
at all position angles.  Event was quite fast and only getting 2 data
points in the C2 field before saturation due to proton particles seen in
the white light.  C3 sees event starting at 23:18 UT and saturation at
00:18 UT.  The averaged plane-of-sky speeds through the C2 and C3 fields
totaled an amazing 2035 km/sec at PA 300 degrees (NW limb).

EIT observed a CME beginning at 22:24 UT which may be argued to the exact
origin.  Difference images shows the contributions to the complex grouping
located in the N West at [N10; W73] of AR 9222 and 9218 which may have
triggered a separate flare event of AR 9213 at 23:12 UT.  Large arcading
post CME looping may have been the factor of the M7 event reported by
GOES. These activities are probably related to the CME in Lasco.
