Subject: Partial halo CME on 2000/07/09

LASCO observed a partial halo CME on 2000/07/09. The event was first seen
over the S pole in C2 at 11:26 UT. It later extended over at least 190
degrees, from PA 80 (E limb) over the S pole to PA 270 (W limb). There may
be a faint extension over the N pole, but this is not very clear in the
images. The measured plane-of-sky speed was 623 km/s at PA 190 (S pole).

No EIT images are available for this period to determine if this was a
front or back side event.
